Fourteenth

This painting was inspired after I took a photograph of the inside of a black box that contains all our remotes. The background is the red orange acrylic tray that the black box sits on in our family room. I loved the image that I happened to capture while attempting to remind my boys where to store the remotes sending them a text message. This image showed the cords which I found to be very visually enticing and the warm red background was beautiful to look at. I grabbed that photo, made a copy of it and proceeded to paint what I saw. I called it Fourteenth as Valentines day is the 14th, this painting is red and I told the boys at least 14 times that they need to put away the remotes!
