Bounty in Harrogate
$795.00
When I lived in England I used to go to auctions and try to find treasures. I located a seller who had inherited their Dads old letterpress collection. It had the press, the metal type and also a huge amount of old dirty inky wooden block type. I had to have it and I drove to Harrogate, England to go get it. I did not know what I would do with it but it was a bargain and I needed it. I have always loved the smell of a printers studio. The inks and solvents, it has the smell of industry and history. I also love letters, typography and posters that were had been hand made. This work has a feeling of bold black ink. I reminds me of my wooden black type collection that takes up space and that I still cannot part with.
